Ragtrade Atlanta Fashion Week 2017

I had the pleasure of attending the RAGTRADE’s 2017 Atlanta Fashion Week Show this year, sponsored by Lincoln Motor Company! Ragtrade, which hosts Atlanta’s official fashion week, showcases upcoming and solidified designers in the city. This Ragtrade’s 3rd year hosting the event.

Lincoln showcased their new line-up of vehicles, specifically the new 2018 Lincoln Navigator and 2017 Lincoln Continental.

WEARING: Dress: ASOS (similar), Shoes: Public Desire Bag: Zara

Some of Atlanta’s most amazing designers were also showcasing their work, including Natt Taylor, Tracy Nicole of Tracy Nicole Clothing, Muktar Onifade of VIZUVL GVDS, Kenya Freeman of Sylvia Mollie & Marsha Glover of Newde. Kenya Freeman (from Project Runway Season 6), Natt Taylor and Tracy Nicole all create designs inspired by the all-new Lincoln Navigator.

The winner of the night for me was Muktar Onifade of VIZUVL GVDS! His designs fueled my minimalist dreams! Being a lover of neutrals, his collection immediately caught my attention. It gave vibes from the very PumaxFenty first collection launch. I loved the relaxed-chic feel, a trend that most likely draws inspiration from today’s trendy street style. I can definitely see some of his pieces hanging in my closet!

Coming at a close second, would be Natt Taylor’s Holiday Collection. We are moving aways from my normal colour palette and transitioning into something more festive! Taylor’s turquoise blue incorporated in these designs, totally embodies the Fall/Winter season. The gold details moves us into the holiday feel, as I can see myself waltzing into a holiday party, especially with the all black dress. Taylor’s designed had more of a tailored-feel, something I know and love, with very clean lines and an overall polished look.

The Ragtrade Atlanta event was amazing this year! I look forward to see which designers earn a spot in next year’s showcase!
