3 Facial Masks You Must Try

Face masks are not only a good way to relax but are also essential to a good skincare routine. And you, yes you, should be using one. As a self-declared skincare junkie and product hoarder, I have been able experience MANY different masks that carry different results. Here are 3 face mask you MUST have in your weekly routine!

+ Formula 10.0.6 “Three Times Sublime” Exfoliation Mask

This one one of the first facial masks I ever purchased and always use for gentle exfoliation days. This mask is a “3 in 1” Blackhead wash, scrub and mask with pink grapefruit and jojoba. I think this is a good mask for a beginner or someone who doesn’t want to spend much money. It goes on like a regular facial scrub, applying it all over the face & then you let it dry. When you start to rinse it off, the exfoliating beads activate and it turns into an exfoliating scrub. Repeated use will show a good difference in your skin!

+ Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

On the label you can find a slogan that reads “World’s most powerful facial” and it’s not for nothing. The Aztec Healing Clay is meant to “deep cleanse the skin pores, remove dirt and impurities.” It comes in a 1 lb jar and can be mixed with either raw Apple Cider Vinegar or water. I mixed mine with Apple Cider Vinegar and a few droplets of rose water.  Keep it on until it’s fully dry and then rinse with warm water. After two uses, I definitely saw a change in my skin. It definitely looks much cleaner and smoother. The best part about this mask is that it’s completely natural with no additives or fragrances, which means its GREAT for sensitive skin. I purchased mine for about $4 (it’s usually $6-7), but it can be purchased at Whole Foods, GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe or Amazon.

+ Kate Somerville ExfoliKate

Listen closely. If you ever needed to buy one facial mask, this one is the one to buy. It has to literally be one of the best skincare products I have ever tried to DATE …and trust me, I’m not exaggerating. Dubbed as “Hollywood’s 2-minute facial”, ExfoliKate mixes physical exfoliation with chemical exfoliation all in one and can be used to combat uneven texture or dullness, minimize pores and eliminate dark spots and hyper-pigmentation. I saw a difference in my skin in ONE DAY. This product is made for all skin types, however, beware if you have over sensitive skin. Per the instructions, you are to apply the product in a circular motion all over the face & then let it sit for two minutes. During the two minutes, you may experience tingling (a side affect of the lactic acid) which could be too intense for those with sensitive skin. It can be used up to twice a week. This one is on the high end of skincare, the smallest size (0.5 oz) being $24, but I have to say it is well worth the price. Those facts aside, one you rinse it off you will in fact, be a glowing goddess.
